The Iron Age farm

The Iron Age farm at Ullandhaug outside Stavanger is a reconstructed farmstead from the Migration Period, approx. 350 - 550 AD.
As the only one of its kind in Norway, the farm has been rebuilt on the remains of a farmhouse from the Migration Period.

How do you illuminate a farm from ancient times, long before lighting was part of society?

With great respect for history, we solved the task with hidden, indirect lighting. This was the result:

Concealed lighting

By using LED strips mounted on the crossbeams, the Iron Age farm has been given a hidden, indirect lighting solution that directs the light up towards the ceiling.
This lighting solution creates a warm and authentic atmosphere that highlights the farm's unique architecture and history.
By combining modern LED technology with the structure of the old building, it is possible to breathe new life into the rooms without disturbing the historical expression.

Lighting under the benches

The LED strips under the benches can be dimmed. Here, 2700K was used to get a warm and good light that gives the right feeling and atmosphere.
