The new pedestrian and bicycle bridge in Nodeviga, in Kristiansand, in Norway, completed in 2025, features a modern and organic design with a wave-shaped roof and integrated LED lighting. It connects the Odderøya marina and museum area with the city center near the Caledonian Hotel, serving both as a bridge and a viewing platform. The structure combines wood, steel, and glass, with a strong focus on lighting design and environmentally friendly operation.

The project was designed by Amtedal & Hansen Arkitektkontor AS, in collaboration with Christianssand Bygg and the Municipality of Kristiansand. Lyskomponenter in Norway is proud to have contributed the lighting that highlights the bridge’s unique architecture and atmosphere in Nodeviga. The bridge is approximately 28 meters long, with a gentle arch shape that allows small boats to pass underneath. The materials are a combination of wood, steel, and glass, with strong emphasis placed on lighting design and environmental considerations.
